Twin Cities Berry Picking Guide

Berry picking is a great summer tradition! Give your family a way to enjoy a fun day out together while supporting these local farmers. Here are several great u-pick berry patches you can visit!

Berry Hill Farm | Strawberries, raspberries, and rhubarb during the summer season. Tentative schedule for strawberries is from approximately middle of June to the beginning of July. Raspberries are typically in season from early July to the middle of July. Rhubarb is ready to be picked around mid-May, but will also pick through the strawberry season. Pleasant Valley Orchard | The pick-your-own strawberry season runs mid-June through mid-July depending on weather and growing conditions. Stay tuned for the start of the 2023 season!

17325 Pleasant Valley Road, Shafer, MN 

Blueberry Fields of Stillwater | Pick your own organic blueberries, in a family friendly, beautiful setting! Usually opens in July. Check website or phone line before driving to the farm!

9450 Mendel Rd N, Stillwater, MN 

Pine Tree Orchard | In the pick your own fields, they provide you with a complimentary picking container, give you a wagon ride to the field, and make the experience educational by showing you the proper way to pick strawberries. They can accommodate all levels of pickers and you are free to pick as many or as few strawberries as you like. Call them for a harvest update!

450 Apple Orchard Rd White Bear Lake, MN 

The Berry Patch | One of the oldest fruit-growing operations in the East Metro area! From mid-June through mid-August they provide pick-your-own strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. The Berry Patch is family-friendly and welcomes kids of all ages to pick berries (sampling is encouraged as well).

Pleasant Valley Orchard | Offering 3 acres of yummy strawberries to pick, Pleasant Valley welcomes kids of all ages but you’ll have to leave your furry kids at home.

17325 Pleasant Valley Rd., Shafer, MN

Little Hill Berry Farm | Every July and August, their fields are filled with friends and families picking the best blueberries you’ll ever eat. They welcome children and provide picking containers and boxes to bring your berries home in. The best way to find out when they are open during picking season is to sign up for their email list. They do also offer strawberries, however they do not have u-pick options.

Lorences Berry Farm | Strawberries coming mid-June and raspberries coming late July through September. Cash or check only.

28556 Foliage Ave, Northfield, MN 

Straight River Farm | A family-owned & run produce farm raising strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and apples using sustainable practices. Pick-your-own available seasonally for berries.

3733 220th St E, Fairbault

D Round Barn Berries | This family run farm is a perfect place to take the family to pick fresh strawberries straight off the vine.

2260 Jamison Avenue Northeast, Saint Michael, MN

Knapton’s | The farm will reopen in late June 2023 with raspberries and tart cherries.

5695 Hwy 55, Rockford, MN

The Strawberry Basket | They they will open sometime in June for strawberry picking! Follow them on Facebook for the most up-to-date information.
