Discover the some of the best indoor playgrounds in the Twin Cities, where families can escape the unpredictable weather and embrace a world of excitement under one roof!

From state-of-the-art play structures to themed zones that spark the imagination, the Twin Cities area boasts a diverse array of indoor playgrounds designed to delight children of all ages. It’s a great way to burn energy on those days that we just don’t’ want to be outside!

TROPICAL ADVENTURE

At Tropical Adventure – kids 10 and younger can crawl through the caves, swing through the jungle, slip down the waterfall slide, and scream down the five-level spiral slide!

BACKYARD INDOOR PLAYGROUND

The Backyard Indoor Playground is open year round and kids can run, climb, ride, slide, and have a blast at the indoor playground. The Big Backyard brings the outdoors inside with huge play equipment, riding toys, balls, playhouses, infant toys, and more. You will find the most appropriate ages for the indoor playground are children ages 0-8; however, older children who come with their families are also welcome.

K.U.B.E. (KIDS ULTIMATE BACKYARD EXPERIENCE) 

K.U.B.E. (Kids Ultimate Backyard Experience) is an all-new indoor playground and is an accessible play area designed to bring the outdoors, indoors. With an array of ramps, slides, climbing towers, playhouses and other structures, the indoor playground is a great space for kids ages 2-12 to play. The K.U.B.E. also features a 28-foot-tall tower with netting and a spiral slide, activity spinners, basket swing, rock climbing wall and several interactive gaming areas!

LOOKOUT RIDGE

Lookout Ridge indoor playground is located on the lower level of Woodbury Central Park. The playground complements the unique design of the Central Park building and is an exciting attraction for children age 12 and under.

A themed, life-like design and sound effects accompany slides, forests, a treehouse, and even a cave. Kids are able to climb inside cliffs imitating the St. Croix River Valley, then zoom down a mountain spiral slide emerging from a cave. Children also can venture to the top of the treehouse, cross over to the gigantic fallen tree, and race down a 30-foot super slide! For a more challenging adventure, kids can explore the tree foam forest and cross through the tube jam.

The cost is $5.50 plus tax for all children who are playing in the structure (ages 1-17).  Adult chaperones ages 18 and up are free.


KIDS EMPIRE

Kids Empire has climbing walls, giant slides, creative building, ball sports, mazes and more! It’s a great place to go to for ALL-DAY fun… the kids never want to leave! They also have a tot zone — which makes for age-appropriate fun.
