Whether you are looking for something to keep your kids busy during the upcoming winter break, or you want to think ahead for those inevitable stir-crazy days ahead this winter season, you are going to want to keep this list of the best indoor play spaces in the Twin Cities top of mind. Also don’t forget many of these places offer discounts on memberships which make a great gift this time of year!

 

NORTHEAST METRO

Hudson GNG Jungle Gym Indoor Playground | 2760 Enloe Street, Hudson, WI

  • Hours: Tue-Sun: 10 am-6 pm.
  • Admission: $8.50/Ages 3-12; $5/age 2 & $4/ages 1- 2. Chaperones and siblings 1 and under are free. 
  • An indoor playground and imaginative play center for the younger crowd and a blacklight miniature golf for the older ones.

(CLOSED UNTIL 2025 for a remodel) Lookout Ridge Indoor Playground | Woodbury Central Park

  • Hours: Mon-Thurs 10 am-5 pm, Fri- 10 am-2 pm, Sat 10 am-4 pm
  • Admission: $5.50/ages 1-17, chaperones ages 18+ are free. 
  • This play space brings the outdoors in with cliffs and caves to explore, a giant tree to scale, wildlife murals on the wall nature motifs throughout.

Good Times Park | 3265 Northwood Cir #100, Eagan, MN 55121

  • Operating Hours: daily from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with special hours on certain holidays:
  • Admission Fees: A single-day pass is $12.00 plus tax per child aged 0-17 years. Monthly memberships offer unlimited access for $30.00 per child, and yearly memberships are available for $300.00 per child. Adults (18+) and infants under 1 year enter free with a paid child admission.
  • Amenities: The park features a large indoor playground with slides and unique spinning equipment, a well-equipped basketball court, a turf field, a 38-foot inflatable jumper, a separate play area for tots 2 and under, and an Imagine & Build area with large soft units for construction play. Families can bring their own food to enjoy in the self-clean picnic area.

Skyzone Indoor Trampoline | Multiple Locations

  • Hours: 9 am-9 pm daily, little leapers 9 am-12 pm daily
  • Admission: $22.99 plus tax/90 min, $29.99 plus tax/all day. SkyZone SkySocks must be purchased for $3.50/pair. Memberships available.
  • The trampolines, bouncy courts, and foam pit are sure to wear out the most energetic of kids. 

Tropical Adventure Indoor Playground | Shoreview Community Center

  • Hours: Mon-Fri 8 am–8 pm, Sat 12 pm-7 pm, Sun 12 pm- 6 pm.
  • Admission to playground only: $6.25-$6.75/per person, including supervising adults.
  • Kids climb through the jungle-themed obstacles and slides and caves. The Tropics Indoor Waterpark (additional fee) is worth checking out as well.

  • Admission: Newborns (0-6 months): $0,  Infants (6 -12 months): $6.50, Kids 1-9: $13, 10+ years: $5 (punch cards are available)

SOUTHEAST METRO

Choo Choo Bob’s | Union Depot – St. Paul

  • Choo Choo Bob’s Train Store is open Monday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with Story Time at 10:30 a.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., featuring live music at 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays.
  • Admission Fees: Admission is $10 for children aged 1 to 10 years, $2 for adults, and free for infants under 1 year. A special offer is available for twins, with a buy-one-get-one-free deal.
  • Amenities: The store offers an interactive play area with train tables, ride-on train toys, a gear wall, and a dedicated toddler space. Additional features include a bounce house, Hot Wheels tracks, and a variety of train-themed activities. Families can also enjoy weekly Story Time sessions and live music performances.

The Blast Indoor Playground | Eagan Community Center

  • Operating Hours: From October 1 to April 27, The Blast is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Admission Fees: Children aged 24 months to 10 years are charged $8 per visit. A 10-visit punch pass is available for $70, and a 6-month unlimited pass can be purchased for $150 (in-person only). Children 23 months and younger, as well as individuals aged 11 and older, can enter for free.
  • Special Programs: “Blast & Play” sessions are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., running from September 3, 2024, to April 24, 2025. During these times, children can enjoy The Blast playground along with additional activities in the gymnasium at no extra cost.

Good Times Park | 3265 Northwood Circle, #100, Eagan, MN

  • Hours: Daily from 7 am-9 pm.  
  • Admission: Purchase Play Today passes online in advance. A one-day pass is $10.95+tax per child under 18 years old (under 1-year play free).
  • The self-pay setup of this play area and the option to bring in your food and drink is a perk. 

Grand Slam | 12425 River Ridge Boulevard, Burnsville, MN

  • Hours: Mon-Thurs 12 pm-8 pm; Fri 10 am-10 pm; Sat 10 am-10 pm; Sun 11 am-7 pm
  • Admission: $6.95/3 hours – Play Zone Only. $19.95/participant for 3 hours of play includes Play Zone, Mini Golf & Crazy Cars. $22.95 if you want to add the trampoline park to your visit.
  • A popular place for the older kids in your group with trampolines, laser tag, batting cages, bumper cars, and mini golf.

Millz House Open Play | 14645 Felton Court #104, Apple Valley, MN

  • Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 9 am-4 pm; Wed 9 am-4 pm. Currently no weekend hours.
  • Admission: $8 per child.
  • Simple fun with a basketball court, trampolines, and an indoor playground makes you forget it’s freezing outside. 

 


SOUTHWEST METRO

The Play Group | 5630 W 36th St, St. Louis Park, MN

  • Hours: Mon-Fri 8 am – 7 pm, Sat- Sun 8 am – 4 pm
  • Memberships Available ($99/month), Open Play Open to Members and Non-Members
  • $15/child for Open Play, $5 each additional child (90 minute sessions)
  • The Play Group is a membership-based Montessori-inspired children’s play area designed for children ages 0-4.
  • A space for play that is as beautiful as it is {fun}ctional!

Be With Me Children’s Playseum | Ridgedale Center

  • Hours: Mon-Thurs 10 am-5 pm; Fri-Sat 10 am-6 pm; Sun 1 pm-6 pm
  • Admission: $15 per person
  • A scaled-down version of the Minnesota Children’s Museum in the Ridgedale Mall is a great place to let your child’s imagination play. 

We Rock the Spectrum | Eagan and Woodbury

  • Operating Hours: Open Play is available daily; however, specific hours may vary. It’s recommended to call ahead or check their social media pages for the most up-to-date information.
  • Admission Fees: The cost for two hours of Open Play is $18.99 per child, with a sibling discount rate of $16.99. Military families also receive the discounted rate of $16.99 per child. Memberships and play passes are available, including options like Mini Rock (3 visits for $50), Rock Basic (5 visits for $75), and Rock Gold (10 visits for $170).
  • Amenities: The gym features nearly 8,000 square feet of specially designed, sensory-safe, and motivational play spaces for children of all abilities, including those with autism. Amenities include a variety of sensory swings, a zip line, a climbing wall, roller slide, arts and crafts area, toddler space, teen lounge, and more!

Edinborough Park | 7700 York Avenue South, Edina, MN

  • Hours: Mon-Thurs 9 am-8 pm; Fri-Sat 9 am-7 pm; Sun 10 am-5 pm. 
  • Admission: $9 plus tax/ages 1-17, adults and children under 1 are free. 10-admission pass $80. Annual memberships are also available.
  • The kids will love getting lost in the endless slides and ladders and you will enjoy the way the atrium makes you forget it’s the middle of winter outside. 

Prairie Play Zone | Eden Prairie Community Center

  • Hours:  Daily 8 am–8 pm
  • Admission: $6.50/ages 5-18; $5.50/18mon-4 years. Community Center members FREE.
  • This newly expanded, multi-level indoor playground at the Eden Prairie Community Center has a mini rock climbing wall and a space dedicated to toddlers. Socks required.

Pump it Up | 7674 Washington Avenue South, Eden Prairie, MN 

  • Hours: Please visit the calendar on the website for current open jump times. 
  • Admission: $10 per child. All ages are welcome, but kids must be at least 34″ to jump on the inflatables.
  • An indoor play area exclusively for bounce house fun — slides, obstacles, jumpers, and more. 

Rainbow Play Systems | 900 West 80th Street, Bloomington, MN

  • Hours: Mon-Fri 10 am–3 pm 
  • Admission: Rates are $8 per child, 12 months and younger are free.
  • Pay for a 2-hour block of time on all the favorite playset structures of their showroom. 

Williston Treehouse | 14509 Minnetonka Drive, Minnetonka, MN

  • Hours: Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat 8 am-8 pm, Tues 8 am-7 pm, Sun 8 am-7:45 pm
  • Admission: $7/child. Admission is FREE for fitness center members. Memberships are available to Minnetonka and St. Louis Park residents.
  • A great indoor climbing and slide play place for the younger children. Ask about the splash pad in the indoor aquatic center, too!

 


NORTHWEST METRO

Backyard Indoor Playground | Brookview Parkway South, Golden Valley, MN

  • Hours:  Mon-Sat 9 am-8 pm, Sun: 9:30 am-5 pm.
  • Admission: $6 for ages 2-13. Adults and tots are free. Socks are required and are $2 if you don’t bring your own. Golden Valley, New Hope & Crystal residents get a $1 discount. Punch cards are available.
  • Lots of fun climbing and crawling play is available at this indoor play space. 

InnerActive Playground | 2240 Woodale Drive, Mounds View, MN 55112

  • Hours: Daily, 7:30 am-7:30 pm
  • Admission: $12/child ages 1-17 for a day-long pass, adults are free. Memberships available.
  • Some days you just need a big open space to let your kids roam free, but make it indoors. 

K.U.B.E. Indoor Playground | Plymouth Community Center

  • Hours: Weekdays 9 am-8 pm, Sat 9 am-7 pm, Sun 11 am-5 pm
  • Admission: $8/child. Plymouth residents are only $6/child
  • Kids Ultimate Backyard Experience (KUBE) brings backyard fun indoors with playhouses, ramps, and slide towers with ladders. Best for ages 2-12. 

Grand Slam Family Fun Center Playground | 2941 Coon Rapids Boulevard Northwest, Coon Rapids, MN

  • Hours: Mon-Thur 10 am – 8 pm, Fri-Sat 10 am – 10 pm, Sun 11 am – 7 pm
  • Admission: $5.95/3 hours (Play Zone only). Get a 10-wristband Punch Card for $42.95.
  • A little lower key than the Grand Slam venue in Burnsville, this location offers a reasonable price for a play zone area for 12 and under only. 

Maple Maze Indoor Playground | 12951 Weaver Lake Road, Maple Grove, MN

  • Hours: Mon-Sat 9 am – 8 pm, Sun 10 am – 6 pm. 
  • Admission: $6/child for ages 1-12. Supervising adults and under 1 free. Discounts for Military & MERSC.
  • The space has undergone renovations now featuring Four levels of new slides and obstacles plus a much better play structure for younger kids. 

Playground Plaza | 11701 95TH Avenue North, Maple Grove, MN

  • Hours: Daily 7 am-9 pm. 
  • Admission: $15/child ages 1-17. Supervising adults and under 1 free with paid siblings. Memberships available.
  • 20,000 square feet of playground equipment, field space, a small bounce area, and play areas for indoor fun. 

Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park | Multiple Locations

  • Hours: Mon-Thurs 10 am-8 pm; Fri 10 am 9 pm; Sat: 10 am-8 pm; Sun: 10 am-6 pm

  • A bit of a splurge but this place has it all so go for a whole day–trampolines, laser tag, mini golf, bowling, ropes course, ninja obstacles, and indoor play sets for younger kids.

Zero Gravity Adventure Park | 2292 Woodale Dr., Mounds View, MN

  • Hours: Mon-Sat 11 am-8 pm, Sun 11 am-6 pm
  • Admission: $19.99-$29.99/day pass. Annual passes are available.
