TCMB Top Picks is back and this one is just for you, not your kids! We’ve gathered our team’s favorite wine choices UNDER $10. Whether you like white or red, you’ll find something good for a great price.
Best Red Wine under $10:
Alissa’s Choice: Apothic Red
Amber’s Pick: Josef Händler Sweet Red Wine
Beth’s Choice: Le Grand Noir: either their Cabernet-Shiraz or Pinot Noir, fairly dry, so good!
Cate’s Pick: We are Cab drinkers, and always think that Bogle Vineyards makes a great wine for the price. It’s a great everyday kind of wine.
Honja’s Pick: Three Buck Chuck from Trader Joe’s
Jen’s Pick: Punto Final Malbec (actually, all Malbecs are a great value) and Cupcake Cabernet Sauvignon (love the name, label and taste!)
Karri’s Pick: Ménage a trois California red wine from Costco
Melissa’s Pick: Velvet Moon, Trader Joes $6 -this is a Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s smooth, medium-bold bodied and has hints if cherry and vanilla. It’s amazing paired with red meat and chocolate but is also balanced enough to drink alone or without food. And for 6 bucks a bottle…well, you just can’t beat that. 🙂
Nealy’s Pick: Costco offers two amazing wines at only $7.59 a bottle! Ménage a trois red blend is a tasty, soft and pleasing blend that everyone loves. (Check out her white pick below!) Don’t forget to pick up some cheese and fruit to go with the wine while you’re at Costco! Throw a block of Kerrygold Dubliner cheese, grapes, salami, olives and dried fruit on a wood cutting board and you have yourself a chartruterie. Cheers!
Suzanne’s Pick: Menage a Trois
Best White Wine under $10:
Alissa’s Pick: Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio
Amber’s Pick: Amusant Bubbly Moscato
Anna’s Pick: Cupcake Moscato, which is $8.99 and SO yummy
Cate’s Pick: Sauvignon Blanc from Sterling Vineyards. I’m partial to it because my husband and I made a stop at the vineyard when we were in Napa a couple years ago – the scenery alone made the wine even tastier.
Jen’s Pick: I am into Prosecco right now (tastes like champagne!). Haven’t tried it, but it looks like Cupcake has an extra dry Prosecco for around $10 as well!
Karri’s Pick: Charles Shaw Chardonnay from Trader Joe’s
Nealy’s Pick: From Costco at $7.59 a bottle: Chateau St. Michelle Chardonnay is another crowd-pleaser, light and refreshing
Suzanne’s Pick: Ecco
