There’s a wealth of Halloween activities in the Twin Cities. Map out your Trick or Treating plan with this easy guide to all things Halloween in the metro area!

October 27: Anoka, The Halloween Capital of the World | Varies Head out to Anoka for their huge Grand parade! There will be a Spooktacular Carnival for the kids prior to the parade, with activities including kids games, face painting, and crazy hair. 

October 27: Halloween Spooktacular | 6:30-8:00pm Come Join the Spooky Fun at the Shoreview Community Center! Enjoy DJ music and dance to the monster mash, create a Halloween craft, bingo, and more! Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Admission is good for 1 child and 1 adult. 

October 27: Little Goblins Costume Party | 6:30-8:00pm Ghosts, goblins and more! Come out in your favorite costume for a night of fun! There will be a variety of themed carnival games and crafts. Refreshments will be provided and you can even take a photo with our special photo backdrop. Wargo Nature Center staff will be leading a flashlight hike and a look at the stars. Don’t forget your camera! Note: Parents/guardians are encouraged to dress in their favorite costume as well. Please make sure all costumes are family appropriate; no costumes with weapons. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 8 years and younger are welcome. Pre-registration is required.

October 28: Big Woods Halloween | 10:00am-3:00pm Earn prizes trying carnival games and a pumpkin scavenger hunt. Survive a challenge on a giant web walk. Meet a live snake, collect treats from costumed animals, and visit the Skull Lab and Gross-out Grotto. Brew something by the cauldron and watch a silly puppet show. Refreshments included for adults and kids. Reservations recommended.

October 28: Halloween Fun in Osseo | 11:00am-2:00pm Join in the Halloween fun this October Starting with a Candy Parade the Saturday before Halloween in Downtown Osseo! Young Trick or Treaters can start at Osseo City Hall and then tour local businesses up and down “Main Street” to claim their Halloween treats. Then continue festivities back at the Osseo Community Center for more fun and games where the Osseo Lions are providing additional treats, games, and crafts.

October 28: Halloween Trick or Treat at The Village of Blaine | 11:00am-1:00pm The Village of Blaine will be hosting a Halloween event for kids! Bring your kids in their best costumes and join them for a FREE Trick-or-Treat Event!

October 28: Trunk or Treat at Wayzata Free Church | 3:00-5:00pm Don’t miss Wayzata Free Church’s 6th annual Trunk or Treat event. Go trunk-to-trunk in our family-friendly parking lot and enjoy free candy, inflatables, interactive games, mini-donuts and more!

October 29: Trunk or Treat | 3:30pm-5:30pm Maple Grove Covenant Church will have over 50 car trunks decorated and offering treats of many kinds. Bring the whole family to enjoy free popcorn, cider, and Pony Rides along with snuggly bunnies! Try your hand at their scavenger hunt as you stroll around the trunks. A food truck will be offering hot and delicious mini doughnuts as well as cheese curds and corn dogs! 

October 31: Mall Wide Trick or Treating | 5:00-7:00pm Bring out the family for Rosedale Mall’s annual mall wide trick-or-treating event! Families have the opportunity to trick-or-treat at 100+ retailers in a safe, warm and fun environment! Plus, the Teddy Bear Band will be providing entertainment in East Court from 6 – 7 p.m.

October 31: Howl-O-Ween Trick or Treat Night | 5:30-7:30pm Head to the Maplewood Mall for Trick or Treating. Bring your little gobblins to the participating stores to fill their bags with goodies. They will also have a free bounce house. Noerr Programs will be onsite for Halloween Photos {fee applies}.

October 27: Trick or Treat Street | 5:00-7:00pm Join the Eagan YMCA for a superheroes themed, “Trick or Treat Street” event! Games, prizes, and FUN! This safe, indoor event is FREE and open to the community. Costumes are encouraged.

October 27: Trunk or Treat at St Paul’s Lutheran School Prior Lake | 5:30-7:30pm Bring your trunk decorated and full of treats to share or come and visit each of the decorated trunks!

October 27: Candyland | 7:00-8:30pm Destiny Christian Church wants to see children have fun and collect candy in a safe environment! Children in 6th grade and under are welcome. Games, candy and popcorn are FREE! Concessions available for purchase. 

October 28: Halloween Bash | 5:00-8:00pm Don’t miss this spooktacular Halloween Bash which promises fun for the entire family. This annual community event features horse-drawn wagon rides, inflatables, a DJ, a campfire with s’mores, games and more! Food trucks will provide food for purchase. This event will take place at the Savage Sports Center and the surrounding park grounds. Don’t forget to wear your costume!

October 28: Cobwebs and Halloween Geocaching | 5:00-8:00pm Use a GPS unit to find hidden jack-o-lantern caches and collect Halloween trinkets at Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Bring your own GPS unit or borrow one of theirs. Costumes encouraged and appreciated.  All ages. Cost: $5/person; youth 5 and under free. Must pre-register.

October 28: Trunk or Treat at Grace | 5:30-6:30pm Looking for a safe, family-friendly way to trick-or-treat? Children ages 5th grade and under are invited to dress in costume and come trunk-or-treat in the church parking lot! Trunk-or-Treat cars will be parked in an area of the parking lot that will be blocked from incoming cars. Families will then walk from trunk to trunk to collect candy! A pizza and potluck dinner will be from 5:30-6:00pm in Koinonia Hall. Please bring a side dish (no desserts please, because there will be candy) and $5 per family to cover the cost of pizza. 

October 28: Trick or Treat on Main Street | 10:00am-2:00pm Trick or Treat on Main in Downtown Shakopee is held annually on the Saturday before Halloween and gives parents and kids a safe place to “run a muck” and get some treats as well!

October 29: Halloween Hodgepodge | 3:00-7:00pm Children and adults dress up in costumes to take part in this Eagan Halloween tradition.  There will be free trick-or-treat bags courtesy of Genisys Credit Union (while supplies last), 20 ghostly carnival games, inflatable jumpers, face painting & temporary tattoos, Free Blast! indoor playground admission, Free 4″ x 6″ Halloween family photo station courtesy of Legacy Creative Images, Monster Mash glow in the dark dance for all ages, Trick-or-treating, Not So Spooky Fun for preschoolers (18 months – age 5). All activities are included in the admission except concession items available for purchase. Food donation items will benefit Eagan’s The Open Door food bank.

October 31: Candy Crawl | 10:00am-2:00pm Start your Candy Crawl at Prior Lake City Hall to trick-or-treat, vote on decorated pumpkins and pick up your Candy Crawl Map! After City Hall venture to the Police Station and library building for the first few stops on the Candy Crawl. Your Candy Crawl Map will lead you on an adventure downtown to over 30 participating businesses.

October 31: Trick or Treat at Valley Ridge | 3:30-5:00pm Bring your little ghosts and goblins to the Valley Ridge (a senior living community) Community Room for trick or treating with the residents!

October 27: Treat Street at Woodbury Lakes | 5:30-7:00pm If you have children 12 years and younger and are looking for a free, fun, Halloween event, stop by Woodbury Lakes on Friday, October 27 from 5:30PM to 7:00PM. Costumed kiddos can bring their Trick-or-Treat bag and visit participating retailers for a Trick or a Treat! We’ll have music and entertainment for everyone.

October 28: 7th Annual Trick or Treating in Afton | 11:00am-2:00pm Gather all goblins, ghosts, witches, superheroes & princesses for the 7th Annual Trick or Treat Trail through downtown Afton. Visit Treats stops throughout the town, enter the costume contest, & scream for ice cream!

October 28-29: Zoo Boo @ Como Park Zoo & Conservatory | 4:30-7:30pm Now in its 30th year, Como Friends ZooBoo is a non-scary, family-friendly Halloween event that benefits Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. This magical event offers families a safe trick-or-treating alternative plus many Halloween surprises such as animal visitors, live entertainment and craft projects. Perfect for kids 3-8 years old. All proceeds from this fundraiser help the plants and animals at Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Thrive! 

October 28-29: Trick or Treat at Kids Oasis | 12:00pm Join in the annual Stillwater IBA Trick or Treating on Oct.28, 29th from 12-4 throughout the stores downtown and when you stop into Gammy& Gumpy’s with your little super heros, princesses and goblins , capture the memories by having professional photos taken by Ashleigh Rachel Photography for only $10! No need to register or sign up, just stop in between 12-4 both days! They will have REAL ballerinas from St. Croix Ballet helping pass out candy and few other surprise friends too, so mark your calendars for this fun weekend!

October 29-30: Halloween at the Museum | Varies Trick-or-treat in the not-so-spooky museum with your favorite ghosts and goblins! Enjoy four-stories of Halloween fun while making your own trail mix, creating your own spooky masterpiece in The Studio, rocking along with Will Hale and The Tadpole Parade. Event price includes admission, Halloween-themed activities and light refreshments.

October 29: BooFest on Grand | 4:00-6:00pm Saint Paul’s Grand Avenue welcomes pint-sized goblins to celebrate our free and family-friendly BooFest. Kids and their families can enjoy a petting zoo, pony rides and trick-or-treating (look for the pumpkin sign in participating businesses) on businesses on Grand. 

October 31: West St Paul Halloween Extravaganza | 6:00-8:00pm Free and open to all! Come decked out and spend your Halloween with your West St. Paul family, friends, and neighbors! They will have a costume contest, FREE hot dogs, bonfires, Trick or Treat Trail, photo booth, food donations, police and fire fighters (with squad car and fire truck, and a coloring contest!

October 28: Tricky Treat-A-Palooza | 10:00am-12:00pm Costumes and candy. The makings of a spook-tacular time! Stop by the Galleria for mall-wide trick-or-treating, complimentary treat bags and fun, in-store events

October 28: Enchanted Forest Halloween | 5:00-9:00pm Check out Lowry Nature Center’s festive Halloween tradition! Included activities are a costumed character Trick or Treat Trail, mad scientist show, puppet show, games and prizes, fall crafts, live raptor shows, live music by Four Legg Fish, food and beverage concessions. $7 admission (children under 2 free). Purchase tickets at the link above or by calling 736-559-6700.

October 28: Halloween Hopkins | 12:00-3:00pm Join the Hopkins Police Department and the participating Mainstreet businesses for Halloween in Hopkins! At the Hopkins Police Department, we will have haunted jail cells (kid friendly) and candy! On Mainstreet, the participating businesses will be handing out candy, trick or treat style! Please wear your costumes and be ready for a spooky fun time!

October 28: Monster Mash at Lynnhurst Park | 1:00-3:00pm Bring your little ghosts and goblins to the Lynnhurst Monster Mash. The party includes a moonwalk, age appropriate games, activities, crafts, and treats. Give your costume a test run for Halloween night! It will be low scare but high fun for all kids and families.

October 28: Minnehaha Falls of Fun | 1:00-4:00pm This family fun event offers an afternoon full of outdoor activities for the entire family. Enjoy a hayride and the large inflatable moonwalks in the crisp fall air. Roast marshmallows over an open fire and collect treats along the Treat Trail as you visit with costumed characters and check out the activities at the treat stops. Dance inside the pavilion to music with entertainment provided by Kids Dance. Plenty of activities for all and photo opportunities galore at the Falls. There will be food and refreshments for sale. Wear your costumes! It’s a celebration! Cost: $5.00/person at the door. Admission includes all activities. Children under the age of 1 are admitted free. There will be food and refreshments available onsite for an additional fee.

October 28: Spooky Saturday at Eden Prairie Community Center | 3:00pm-5:00pm Enjoy trick-or-treating, arts-and-craft activities, music, games and climbing in the Prairie Play Zone. Event appropriate for ages 1–10. Cost: $5 in advance, $6 at the door Price is per child. Maximum of $20 per family. Parents, guardians and children younger than age 1 are admitted free.

October 28: Trunk or Treat King of Grace Lutheran Church | 3:30-5:30pm Trunk or Treat at King of Grace, fun for kids of all sizes! Dress up and decorate your trunk, and you could win great prizes. Enjoy hot dogs for dinner, play some games and bring candy to share.

October 28: Not-So-Scary Nature Trail | 6:00-9:00pm Halloween doesn’t have to be scary. Come to the Outdoor Center to learn about all the not-so-scary things associated with Halloween. During this educational event, walk the lantern-lit trail and learn about bats, owls, snakes, eagles and so much more while collecting a Halloween treat at each station. Staggered start times are offered so younger children can attend early and the more adventurous in the dark. Children must have an adult present. Register each child for one time slot only. Adults attend free. Kids $5.

October 29: Trunk ‘N Treat at St Johns | 3:00-4:30pm Come to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Mound ‘s parking lot for their 9th annual Trunk ‘N Treat. There will be trunks to trick or treat from, yard games and snacks!

October 31: Howl-O-Ween 2017 | 9:00am-10:00pm Calling all ghouls and boys! Grab your mummies and daddies and celebrate all that is Halloween. Come dressed in your All Hallow’s Eve best as you scour the Mall of America for sweet treats at participating retailers.

October 31: SLP Lions Trunk or Treat | 6:00-9:00pm Annual FREE Trunk or Treat event for kids. A great event to enjoy a safe/non scary environment for your kids to trick or treat at. We decorate our vehicles and pass out candy from our trunks! The first 500 kids will also receive Halloween bags!! 

Join us on Saturday, October 28 for our family Halloween Spooktacular event at The Wishing Tree Play Cafe. Bust out those adorable costumes and choose one of two time slots to attend. Tickets will be $15/child and $5/adult and will include light food and drinks, activities, and play at The Wishing Tree Play Cafe. We will have a costume contest with a FABULOUS prize package, so start planning your family costumes now!
