Brighten Up Your Steps With Bachman’s Spruce Tops

Disclosure: We’ve partnered with Bachman’s to highlight all they have to offer you to brighten your home and front steps for the holiday season. We’re more than excited to show off the supplies they have waiting for you to decorate your home!

Melissa and Cari recently had the chance to try out one of Bachman’s workshops, learning all that they have to offer in their greenhouses to help spruce up your steps for the holiday season with their spruce tops. Read about their experience and how easy it was for them to put together these gorgeous pots for their front steps!

Melissa:
I had the opportunity to sit in on a “treetop class” at Bachman’s recently.  And, as I should probably note, I have a dark brown thumb…like there’s not even a tint of green to it.  Basically, I am gardening challenged, or perhaps just uneducated about it.

The class was awesome and a fun experience but, more than anything, it made me realize that this kind of stuff is so much more simple to do on my own at home than I make it out to be.

It ended up being something I really enjoyed and I am definitely planning on starting a Holiday tradition with my daughter each year to build our own treetop porch pots oursleves….she’s totally going to love it and what a special thing for both of us to look forward to doing together.

Isn’t it so cute and festive?  I absolutely love it and am actually planning to make another one for our outdoor area.  It’s so fun to make them your own and implement your unique sense of style into something like this through cute accessories or seasonal decorations/greenery.  The best part is all of the necessities, including pots, greenery and accessories, are widely available and affordable at Bachman’s…it will definitely be my one-stop-go-to-shop for my Holiday pots each year moving forward.  The staff is so friendly and willing give you every ounce of advice and help you so it makes the process so simple and the home-project aspect of it so enjoyable.  So, I’m happy to report, my thumb is now a much lighter shade of brown…and I’m excited to head back to Bachman’s to see the fun things available for my next holiday pot project!

Cari:

The class at Bachman’s was super fun. It was exciting to walk in and see an empty pot, with all the fun woodsy products, just begging to be used to create something fun and festive. They provided all of the necessary tools, and even showed us how to use them.

Being kind of a brown thumb I was honestly a little nervous. But the designers completely put me at ease right away. They explained where the products came from, and showed us step by step how to create our own spruce top. They even walked around to admire our work as we created, and gave such helpful spacing advice. I learned so much in just one hour!

Melissa and I had so much fun hanging out together, and I can easily see this class as being a fun girl’s day out with our best friends or as a mommy/daughter date.

The best part was stepping back, and looking at the beautiful finished product. The designer even gave us directions on how to take care of the pot when we brought it home. I am happy to report that every time I pull up to my house, I spot it and it makes me smile!

I would definitely recommend the class! Plus just being at Bachman’s is a place of seasonal inspiration. Just walking through I gained so many creative ideas!
