Pizza is the way to my heart. Local pizza places make it special for Valentine’s by making a heart-shaped pizza! Davanni’s claims to be the first Twin Cities pizzeria to start the tradition. If pizza wasn’t enough, they also offer $1 brownies for the sweet tooths in your house—order by February 14 on the phone or online.

Looking for a gluten-free option? Try Randy’s Pizza in Oakdale also offers tasty heart-shaped pies this season.

I Waffle You.

Local favorite Nordic Waffles now offers their delicious heart-shaped waffle sandwiches outside of the fair. Pick up your favorite flavor in the freezer section of many grocery stores for a breakfast-for-dinner love party.

My kids could eat donuts at any meal. Imagine blowing their minds with a giant heart-shaped donut this Valentine’s Day! Angel Food has just the thing, with its signature frosting and sprinkles. I might need to get two just so we don’t have to share!

You’re the Cheese to my Cake.

Those conversation hearts you get in little boxes from your Valentine might be the cutest things ever but they taste disgusting (change my mind.) But the conversation hearts made by the amazing Muddy Paws Cheesecake have my heart. Voted Best in Minnesota, Muddy Paws Cheesecake is an artisan cheesecake bakery located in St. Louis Park, MN. Locally owned and operated for over 29 years by Tami Cabrera, no other cheesecakes in the world compare to Muddy Paws Cheesecake’s 222 flavors. You might be tempted to try them all, but perhaps start with their Valentine’s specials like the very cute mini cheesecakes with love notes to your sweetie. Get 6 baby cheesecakes for only $10! That’s a sweet deal.
