There’s a wealth of Halloween activities in the Twin Cities. Map out your Trick or Treating plan with this easy guide to all things Halloween in the metro area!

October 19: Flashlight Pumpkin Hunt | 7:00-8:30pm Pumpkins are hiding and waiting to be found at Aquatore Park! Children along with their parents, can search the grounds for one pumpkin of their choice, celebrate by dancing under the stars with our family deejay, make a S’more and play glow games! Fee includes a treat bag, one pumpkin, one craft, and refreshments. Come in a costume for our costume contest and bring a flashlight! Registration is required.

October 20: Light Up the Night Parade | 7:00pm Anoka night parade followed by a bonfire, food, music, and spooktacular fun!

October 20: Halloween Family Fun Day | 1:00-4:00pm Head to Weaver Lake Park for more than 20 activities offer tricks or treats with Monster Inflatables, Web of Confusion Maze, Dizzy Mummy, Candy Corn Bowling, Pumpkin Rolling, fishing in the Bottomless Well, Skull Island treasure hunting and more. Goodie bags are filled with candy and trinkets along with getting creative at the craft table.  Screams abound loud and clear for a howling good time at the Scream Contest (2:15 and 3:30). Who has the loudest, scariest scream of all??? And what better way to show off your GREAT costume than at the Hallo-weeny Fashion Show at 1:30. 

October 20: Pumpkin Night | 6:00-10:00pm Enchanted trails, costumed characters, fire dancers, DJ with dancing music, 1,000 glowing pumpkins, bonfire, bingo, and stage entertainment.

October 26: Halloween at the Creek | 6:00-9:00pm The city of Plymouth’s event features carnival games, inflatables, entertainment, prizes, treats and activities geared toward preschool- to elementary-age children. Costumes are encouraged. A pizza slice and beverage are included in the cost of admission.

October 26: Halloween Spooktacular | 6:30-8:00pm Come Join the Spooky Fun at the Shoreview Community Center! Enjoy DJ music and dance to the monster mash, create a Halloween craft, bingo, and more! Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Admission is good for 1 child and 1 adult. 

October 26: Preschool Costume Contest and Parade of Little People | 9:30am This costume contest is all about fun!  Entertainment provided during the event and special treat bags for each participant.  This event lasts about and hour and is open to all pre-kindergarten children.  Winner of this event will ride in our Big Parade of Little People parade that same day in the afternoon to show off their spooktakular costume! 

October 26: Little Goblins Costume Party | 6:30-8:00pm Ghosts, goblins and more! Come out in your favorite costume for a night of fun! There will be a variety of themed carnival games and crafts. Refreshments will be provided and you can even take a photo with our special photo backdrop. Wargo Nature Center staff will be leading a flashlight hike and a look at the stars. Don’t forget your camera! Note: Parents/guardians are encouraged to dress in their favorite costume as well. Please make sure all costumes are family appropriate; no costumes with weapons. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 8 years and younger are welcome. Pre-registration is required.

October 27: Tamarack Trick or Treat | 3:00-5:30pm Bring your favorite little goblin to a Halloween party designed just for them. Deliberately low-key, this non-spooky event includes games, old-fashioned, hand-pressed cider and close encounters with live animals. Enjoy friendly costumed characters handing out treats along our prairie loop trail and spend time in Discovery Hollow. This is a very popular event, so register early!

October 27: Anoka, The Halloween Capital of the World | Times Vary Head out to Anoka for their huge Grand parade! There will be a Spooktacular Carnival for the kids prior to the parade, with activities including kids games, face painting, and crazy hair. 

October 27: Big Woods Halloween | 10:00am-3:00pm Earn prizes trying carnival games and a pumpkin scavenger hunt. Survive a challenge on a giant web walk. Meet a live snake, collect treats from costumed animals, and visit the Skull Lab and Gross-out Grotto. Brew something by the cauldron and watch a silly puppet show. Refreshments included for adults and kids. Reservations recommended.

October 27: Halloween Fun in Osseo | 11:00am-2:00pm Join in the Halloween fun this October Starting with a Candy Parade the Saturday before Halloween in Downtown Osseo! Young Trick or Treaters can start at Osseo City Hall and then tour local businesses up and down “Main Street” to claim their Halloween treats. Then continue festivities back at the Osseo Community Center for more fun and games where the Osseo Lions are providing additional treats, games, and crafts.

October 27: Boo ‘n Brew Festival | 2:00-5:00pm Kick up trick or treating and expand your tradition into a spooktacular festival filled with treats, crafts, bounce houses, face painters, balloon artists, live music and more! There will be trick or treating and activities throughout the Maplewood Mall for the kids fall-themed photo booth set up to get in some pictures with the family, BAE or your besties, food and beer specials (21+) at Admiral’s, and of course, some live music!

October 27: Fall Festival on Main Street | 10:00am-2:00pm This is a FREE trick-or-treating event that allows your entire family to dress to impress! Stop into every Main Street business that has a “Trick-or-Treat” Jack-o-lantern sign in their window and get a special treat! Our participating Main Street businesses have gone all out to show how much we appreciate our community. The festival takes place on Main Street, from Elm Creek Blvd to Arbor Lakes Parkway and beyond. And be sure to enter our social media costume contest to win a bundle of Arbor Lakes goodies.

October 27: Boo Bash | 1:00-3:00pm Head to the Bruentrup Farm for a FREE family-friendly event for all ages! Costumes are encouraged but not required. Activities included: live animals from the MN Raptor Center, wagon rides, a puppet show, sensory scavenger hunt, games, crafts and more! This event will be held outdoors so please dress for the weather.

October 31: Trunk or Treat at Wayzata Free Church | 6:00-7:30pm Don’t miss Wayzata Free Church’s 6th annual Trunk or Treat event. Go trunk-to-trunk in our family-friendly parking lot and enjoy free candy, inflatables, interactive games, mini-donuts and more!

October 31: Halloween Party | 6:00-8:00pm Enjoy an evening of entertainment and fun; Circus Manduhai Show from 7:00-7:45pm, Halloween treats, balloon animals and refreshments. Get into the Halloween spirit with this free community event

October 31: Superhero Halloween | 5:00-7:00pm This year, spend Halloween with some of your favorite superheroes. Join us for our Superhero Halloween event for the chance to meet and take a photo with local superheroes in addition to trivia, crafts, games, prizes, music, and free Halloween themed balloons. Enjoy mall-wide trick-or-treating at the Rosedale Mall.

October 20: Old-Fashioned Trick or Treat at the Landing | 4:00-8:00pm Trick-or-treat among historic homes along candlelit paths. Warm up inside with hot cider and a snack while enjoying music and games of the 1800s. 

October 20: Haunted Forest | 5:30-8:30pm Haunted Forest event fun for the whole family!

October 26: Candyland | 7:00-8:30pm Destiny Christian Church wants to see children have fun and collect candy in a safe environment! Children in 6th grade and under are welcome. Games, candy and popcorn are FREE! Concessions available for purchase. 

October 27: Halloween Bash | 5:00-8:00pm This spooktacular event takes place inside the Savage Sports Center, which is located within Savage Community Park. This event provides families a fun and safe fall event where they can participate in a variety of games, inflatables, a DJ, a campfire with s’mores, and more; all while enjoying kid-friendly refreshments available for purchase and entertainment. Don’t forget to wear your costume! Registration required. Register by October 24.

October 27: Grace Lutheran Church of Apple Valley | 4:00-5:00pm Looking for a FREE, SAFE, family-friendly way to trick-or-treat? Children ages 5th grade and under are invited to dress in costume and come trunk-or-treat in the church parking lot! Trunk-or-Treat cars will be parked in an area of the parking lot that will be blocked from incoming cars. Families will then walk from trunk to trunk to collect candy!

October 27: Cobwebs and Halloween Geocaching | 5:00-8:00pm Use a GPS unit to find hidden jack-o-lantern caches and collect Halloween trinkets at Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Bring your own GPS unit or borrow one of theirs. Costumes encouraged and appreciated.  All ages. Cost: $5/person; youth 5 and under free. Must pre-register.

October 27: Trunk or Treat in Farmington | 4:00-6:00pm Trunk or Treat* coming to Farmington hosted by Faith Church UM & Trinity Lutheran. Two parking lots and lots of trunks! And several churches and businesses/organizations will also be involved!! This year is going to be awesome!! Invite friends and neighbors! Trunks and treats outside, tables, treats and games inside!!! *Allergy safe non-food treats will be available.

October 27: Trick or Treat on Main Street | 10:00am-2:00pm Trick or Treat on Main in Downtown Shakopee is held annually on the Saturday before Halloween and gives parents and kids a safe place to “run a muck” and get some treats as well!

October 27: Boo Bash at Prince of Peace | 10:00am-2:00pm Young families are invited to Prince of Peace for some Halloween fun! Wear your costumes, trick or treat in the hallways, enjoy some games and more! 

October 27: Trunk or Treat at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church & School | 3:00-6:00pm Trunk or Treat is a fun event for individuals and families of all ages; children need to be accompanied by an adult. Come anytime while we are open and enjoy!! Games, fun, and trick or treating at the cars in our parking lot. Event held rain or shine; come ready to have fun! Don’t miss it!! 

October 28: Halloween Hodgepodge | 3:00-7:00pm Children and adults dress up in costumes to take part in this Eagan Halloween tradition.  There will be free trick-or-treat bags (while supplies last), 20 ghostly carnival games, inflatable jumpers, face painting & temporary tattoos, Free Blast! indoor playground admission, Free 4″ x 6″ Halloween family photo station, Monster Mash glow in the dark dance for all ages, Trick-or-treating, Not So Spooky Fun for preschoolers (18 months – age 5). All activities are included in the admission except concession items available for purchase. Food donation items will benefit Eagan’s The Open Door food bank.

October 31: Candy Crawl | 10:00am-2:00pm Start your Candy Crawl at Prior Lake City Hall to trick-or-treat, vote on decorated pumpkins and pick up your Candy Crawl Map! After City Hall venture to the Police Station and library building for the first few stops on the Candy Crawl. Your Candy Crawl Map will lead you on an adventure downtown to participating businesses.

October 31: Trick-or-Treat at City Hall | 3:00-4:30pm Calling all ghosts and goblins, princesses and superheroes! Before heading out for a night of Halloween trick-or-treating, we invite you to stop by the city hall campus to show off your costumes and leave with some treats. Residents are encouraged to bring their children to safely trick-or-treat at city hall and Shakopee Police Department.

October 31: Trick or Treat at Valley Ridge | 3:30-5:00pm Bring your little ghosts and goblins to the Valley Ridge (a senior living community) Community Room for trick or treating with the residents!

October 31: City of Savage Halloween Party | 5:00-7:00pm The Savage Fire Department hosts an annual Halloween party for the community. This is a safe environment in which young children, ages newborn to 12 years, may visit the firefighters, play games and be able to leave with some candy, prizes and most of all, a smile on their face.

October 19: Scary Stories | 6:00-8:00pm Enjoy the sights and sounds of autumn while sitting around the campfire listening to some not so scary stories along with a few scary stories with Dwight Wilcox. Sip apple cider, roast s’mores, and for the more adventurous, take a hike along the lit trails afterward which will be open until 9:30 PM.

October 20: Halloween Fun Fest | 10:00am-12:00pm Come and join the Lake Elmo Jaycees at their 4th Annual Halloween Fun Fest. There will be kids games and prizes. In support of the Teal Pumpkin Project, they will only have non-food items.

October 21: Villains Halloween Ball | 1:00-4:00pm Guests will enjoy a Halloween-themed dessert and appetizer buffet, DJ-led dance with award-winning Adagio Djay Entertainment, character performances, interactions and photo ops, Royal Dance Lesson and other character-led activities, costume parade, take-home treats, and more. Halloween costumes and/or royal ball attire for all ages is welcome. 

October 26: Skating Spooktacular | 6:00-7:15pm Tricks and Treats at this skating Halloween Party! Open Skate Night is about to get scary with fog, strobe lights, music, and more… Play Halloween games, enjoy treats and a few other tricks we have up our sleeves. 

October 26: Trunk or Treat at Zion Lutheran Church | 4:30-6:00pm Trunk or Treat will be back at Zion Lutheran Church again this year and open to the community! Bring your friends and neighbors! Come in your best costume to visit the themed trunks set up! There will be FREE food: hotdogs, chips, and beverages – all sponsored by Zion and Thrivent Financial, along with different games! This is a “rain or shine event” and will be indoors if the weather is bad. Open to all ages! Some of our trunks will hand out allergy-free treats and others may have non-candy offerings.

October 27: Frankenstein 200 | 11:00am-2:00pm Join SMM as they celebrate the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein! Engage in fun hands-on activities that explore Frankenstein’s legacy in science and technology in the 21st century. Participants will use their imaginations as they explore what it means to be a responsible innovator.

October 27: Afton Trick or Treat Trail | 11:00am-2:00pm Calling all princesses, ghosts & goblins! Dress in your best Halloween garb & stroll through downtown Afton. Be sure to visit all of the “Trick or Treat” Stations along St. Croix Trail. Family fun including a costume contest, scream for ice cream contest & Halloween photo booth.

October 27: Monster Mash | 10:00am-12:00pm Bring the family and join us for a morning of games and entertainment.  Wear your costumes or come as yourself.  No scary costumes.  Meet your neighbors and enjoy a snack at the popular annual event.  Don’t forget the camera!

October 27: Bruentrup Boo Bash | 1:00-3:00pm Live animals from the MN Raptor Center, puppet show, wagon rides, sensory scavenger hunt, concessions available for purchase. Costumes are encouraged but not required. This event will be held outside, please dress for the weather. Free

October 27-28: Trick or Treat on Main Street | 12:00-4:00pm Trick or treat around Downtown Stillwater at your leisure. Wander in and out of participating businesses that have a Trick or Treat sign displayed! Bring your ninjas, frozen princesses, and superheroes and let them stock up on tricks and treats!

October 27-29: Halloween at the Museum | Varies Trick-or-treat in the not-so-spooky museum with your favorite ghosts and goblins! Wear your costume and take part in other spooktacular activities as well. There are three dates to choose from. 

October 28: Trick-or-Treating at FAC | 3:30-5:00pm Join the Family Achievement Center for a fun, indoor trick or treating event! This event is open to all and is sensory & allergy friendly, as well as handicapped-accessible!

October 28: Great Pumpkin Halloween Celebration | 1:00-3:00pm Enjoy Halloween festivities at Landmark Center with live entertainment, crafts, treats, and a costume parade.

October 28: Halloween Event at Jerry’s Foods | 6:00-8:00pm Come trick-or-treat in the Woodbury store and enter to win prizes!

October 31: West St Paul Halloween Extravaganza | 6:00-8:00pm Free and open to all! Come decked out and spend your Halloween with your West St. Paul family, friends, and neighbors! They will have a costume contest, FREE hot dogs, bonfires, Trick or Treat Trail, photo booth, food donations, police and firefighters (with squad car and fire truck) and a coloring contest!

October 19: Jack-O-Lantern Trail of Fun | 6:00-8:30pm Climb aboard the hayride as we wander down the Minnesota River Bluff regional trail. Along the way, you will be surrounded by Jack-o-Lanterns carved by our community. At the end of the trail join us for a s’mores cookout over an open fire, archery pumpkin shoot-out and lots more.

October 26: The “Not So Scary” Halloween Party | 6:00-8:00pm Start your Halloween weekend off with a party at Edinborough Park! Trick-or-treating, face painting, games, special “kid-friendly” entertainment by Bodini the Magician and crafts round out this exclusive annual family event. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Admission price includes full access to Adventure Peak and the Great Hall play areas. 

October 26: Tiny Tot Halloween Party | 10:00am-12:00pm Logan will be hosting a Halloween Party just for the little ones. Dress in your favorite costume and be ready to party! Activities will include; open gym, bounce house, face painting, art project, healthy snack and treat bags. This party is for children under the age of 6. Please pre-register. Free.

October 27: The Great Pumpkin Festival | 10:30am-1:00pm Join The Shops at West End or phone activities including a bounce house and balloon artist. The Twin Cities Road Crew will create a fun photo opportunity, with custom cutouts giving families opportunities to take some fun photos of their children in costume!

October 27: Halloween Event at Jerry’s Foods | 11:00am-1:00pm Bring your little ghosts and goblins to trick-or-treat in the Eden Prairie or Edina store! We’ll have crafts, face painting, treats and lots of giveaways!

October 27: 50th & France Pumpkin Fest | 11:00am-1:00pm Trick-or-treating in the area, including Halloween and fall-themed activities for kids! Face painting and a petting zoo.

October 27: Happy Halloween Event | 11:00am-2:00pm Families can enjoy free horse-drawn hayrides, music, games and giveaways at the Southtown Halloween Party. Kids will enjoy dancing to KidsDance Entertainment and participating in craft activities provided by Artistry. Other activities will include balloon animals, face painting, games, and prizes. Children will also receive a free Halloween tote bag and treats (while supplies last). 

October 27: Enchanted Forest Halloween | 5:00-9:00pm Check out Lowry Nature Center’s festive Halloween tradition! Included activities are a costumed character Trick or Treat Trail, mad scientist show, puppet show, games and prizes, fall crafts, live raptor shows, live music by Four Legg Fish, food and beverage concessions. $7 admission (children under 2 free). Purchase tickets at the link above or by calling 736-559-6700.

October 27: Halloween Hopkins | 10:00am-3:00pm Break out your costumes a little early and head downtown for a day of kooky, spooky family fun! The Hopkins Police Department will be hosting a Haunted Jail Tour (11 am -2 pm) where you can show off your costume and receive some fun safety giveaways. After that, head one block over for the Mainstreet Trick-or-Treat at local businesses – just look for the “treat stop” signs!

October 27: Monster Mash at Lynnhurst Park | 1:00-3:00pm Bring your little ghosts and goblins to the Lynnhurst Monster Mash. The party includes a moonwalk, age-appropriate games, activities, crafts, and treats. Give your costume a test run for Halloween night! It will be low scare but high fun for all kids and families.

October 27: Minnehaha Falls of Fun | 1:00-4:00pm This family fun event offers an afternoon full of outdoor activities for the entire family. Enjoy a hayride and the large inflatable moonwalks in the crisp fall air. Roast marshmallows over an open fire and collect treats along the Treat Trail as you visit with costumed characters and check out the activities at the treat stops. Dance inside the pavilion to music with entertainment provided by Kids Dance. Plenty of activities for all and photo opportunities galore at the Falls. There will be food and refreshments for sale. Wear your costumes! It’s a celebration! Cost: $5.00/person at the door. Admission includes all activities. Children under the age of 1 are admitted free. There will be food and refreshments available onsite for an additional fee.

October 27: Spooky Saturday at Eden Prairie Community Center | 3:00pm-5:00pm Enjoy trick-or-treating,arts-and-crafts activities, music, games and climbing in the Prairie Play Zone. Event appropriate for ages 1–10. Cost: $5 in advance, $6 at the door Price is per child. Maximum of $20 per family. Parents, guardians, and children younger than age 1 are admitted free.

October 27: Not-So-Scary Nature Trail | 6:00-9:00pm Halloween doesn’t have to be scary. Come to the Outdoor Center to learn about all the not-so-scary things associated with Halloween. During this educational event, walk the lantern-lit trail and learn about bats, owls, snakes, eagles and so much more while collecting a Halloween treat at each station. Staggered start times are offered so younger children can attend early and the more adventurous in the dark. Children must have an adult present. Register each child for one-time slot only. Adults attend free. Kids $5.

October 28: Trunk or Treat King of Grace Lutheran Church | 3:30-5:30pm There will be fun for kids of all ages! Please dress up and decorate your trunk, and you could win great prizes. This is a FREE event for the whole family – we hope to see you there! Bring a friend or neighbor!

October 28: Family Halloween Bash | 4:00-6:00pm Grab your little ghouls and goblins for a balloon drop, costume contest, pumpkin painting, and more. Celebrate Halloween with the whole family right here at the Pub!

October 28: Trunk ‘N Treat at St Johns | 3:00-4:30pm Come to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Mound ‘s parking lot for their 10th annual Trunk ‘N Treat. There will be trunks to trick or treat from, yard games and snacks! This year they are also participating in the teal pumpkin program. Each trunk will also have a teal pumpkin that you can choose a candy from that will be allergy friendly.

October 30: Toddler Tuesdays: Nick Jr. Halloween Bash | 10:00am-12:00pm The morning will be filled with a ghostly good time! Pick up your treat bag and map to treat stations in the Rotunda + Nickelodeon Universe. Need to rest up from Trick or Treating? Catch our Nick Jr. Halloween Episodes up on the big screen. Also, don’t forget to pick up Canon’s Laugh and Learn Playdates! These activity packets are sure to ignite fun and educational exploration. Don’t forget to wear your favorite costume ( Kids 7 years old and under only)!

October 31: Halloween at the Eden Prairie Mall | 5:00pm-7:30pm Bring the kids in costume to the mall for a night of safe trick-or-treating. Trick-or-treat at participating mall merchants, live entertainment in Center Court, and meet Eden Prairie police officers and firefighters!

October 31: Tiny Tot Halloween Party | 11:00am-12:30pm A special trick-or-treat event designed for young children and their parents at Creekview. The event is FREE to attend and is designed for children under 6-years-old. Wear your costume and bring your parents for a morning of silly spooky fun. Tricks and treats, games, music and more will be an eerie kickoff for your Halloween fun!

October 31: Howl-O-Ween 2018 | 5:00-8:00pm Calling all ghouls and boys! Grab your mummies and daddies and celebrate all that is Halloween. Come dressed in your All Hallow’s Eve best as you scour the Mall of America for sweet treats at participating retailers.

October 31: Trunk or Treat | 5:30-8:30pm This fun night at REZ LIFE KIDS Ministry includes dinner, hayride, face painting, pumpkin painting, balloon artist, yummy dinner and more! The highlight of the night is the trunk or treating that begins about 7:15 pm. The Eden Prairie fire department will lead us in a costume parade prior to our “trunk or treating.” Come out and experience this exciting night.

October 31: SLP Lions Trunk or Treat | 6:00-7:30pm Annual FREE Trunk or Treat event for kids. A great event to enjoy a safe/ non-scary environment for your kids to trick or treat at. We decorate our vehicles and pass out candy from our trunks! The first 500 kids will also receive Halloween bags!! 

Boo Blast at Lunds & Byerlys | Dates and times dependent on location All of the treats and none of the tricks; come dressed in your Halloween best and celebrate with us Lunds & Byerlys! Festivities include trick-or-treating around the store, games, and more.

Halloween Parties and Activities at Hy-Vee | Dates and times dependent on location Pumpkin crafts, cookie decorating, prizes, games, and more! Kids eat free on Halloween.

Halloween at the Y | Dates and times dependent on location Visit the following YMCA locations for Spooktacular fun throughout the month of October.  

Live Pumpkin Carving at Mall of America | Times and Dates Vary Watch and ask questions as our local sculptors, Jodi and Shannon Engel, carve your favorite Nickelodeon Characters out of real pumpkins! Learn tips and tricks on how you can carve your own pumpkins at home!

Trick or Treat at Cub Foods October 27 | 10:00am-3:00pm Calling all ghouls and goblins! Grab your costumes and head to your favorite Cub for their family-friendly Halloween event. There will be trick-or-treating throughout the store with random costume prizes and pumpkin decorating. And don’t forget to pick up great deals on Halloween candy while you’re at the store! 

Boo Blast at Kowalski’s October 30 | 4:00-7:00pm Calling All Ghosts, Goblins, Witches & Ghouls! Join us for goodies that include candy, healthy snacks, & other kid-friendly items. Costumes are encouraged, but not required.

Halloween at the Museum October 27-29 | Times Vary Trick-or-treat in the not-so-spooky museum with your favorite ghosts and goblins! Wear your costume and take part in other spooktacular activities as well. There are three dates to choose from. 

Fright Lights Halloween Spectacular Now-October 31 | 8:00pm Come together for a Nightly Fright Lights show in celebration of the most spooky and fun holiday – Halloween! This nightly light show has been taken over by a funky witch who can command the lights and music to groove, and people to move all in the name of some spooky Halloween fun! Plus every Friday and Saturday night Halloween dancers will be performing during the shows.

The Great Pumpkin Fest at Valley Fair Now-October 28 | 11:00am During the day, tiny terrors can join Snoopy and the rest of the PEANUTS gang for some not-so-scary Halloween activities for kids at The Great Pumpkin Fest! Enjoy your favorite rides, live entertainment, and great fall activities at The Great Pumpkin Fest.
