Recap: June Playdate at Sky Zone St. Paul {sponsored by Metropolitan Pediatric Dental Associates}

Last Wednesday, we met up in St. Paul for our first playdate in our Metropolitan Pediatric Dental Associates Summer Playdate Series and it was the BEST morning!  117 attendees arrived for a great morning of play at Sky Zone St. Paul.  For most of us, this was our first trip to this awesome business and it did not disappoint!

Join us for our first playdate!June 18th-2

We were thrilled to see Jessica and Dr. Baum from Metro Pediatric Dental Associates and so were the kids.  They were so helpful in answering questions about visiting the dentist and their locations, plus they brought goodies for the kids!

Sky Zone is the place to be. The entire facility has a great open feel.  Check-in at the front, then there’s a big open area with lockers and concessions.  You can play with your kids or they have tables and chairs where you can hang out while your kids play on their own.  There’s a central walkway up in the court area that goes between each of the play areas.  And the staff was AMAZING.  They got each of the kids set up with their “Sky Socks” for jumping, then sat the group down for a safety talk, going over all of the rules before the ran off to play.

We were incredibly impressed with the set-up – it’s so toddler friendly, you almost can’t believe it.  Two-year-olds were able to feel independent, going off on their own, jumping and under control while mom chats with a friend or nurses her baby.  There is staff everywhere, making sure everyone is jumping safely and following the rules.

There are a ton of courts to jump on – a few just for jumping, one dedicated to toddler-sized kiddos only, another for basketball, one for dodgeball and even a court for jumping into “the pit.” And even moms got in on that fun!

Dodgeball was a big hit with our school-agers!

We had treats on hand from Ella’s Kitchen and Pirate’s Booty and these kids loved both so much, we didn’t go home with much extra!  Even the big kids loved the Ella’s packets so much, we broke all of our own rules and everyone ate them all – turns out these are a big hit for packed lunches for the school-agers!  We had The Red One (smoothie blend), The Yellow One (another smoothie blend) and The Sweet Potato + Blueberry One, but they a lot of other flavors if you need more variety.

And c’mon – who doesn’t love Pirate’s Booty?  Perfect for any age – it was gobbled up and FAST!

We’d recommend Sky Zone a million times over – it’s a really impressive spot that you can enjoy with all of your kids, no matter how spread out they are in age.   Even if you have a baby to attend to, no worries about how your other kids are doing while you sit down for a while.  They offer a handful of programs, including Toddler Time (Tuesday and Friday mornings from 9:30-11am, ages 5 and under only) and Mega Jump on Saturday Nights (8-10pm for ages 15+), plus you can buy monthly memberships and more. Check HERE for their summer hours.

We loved having Metro Pediatric Dental on site – it’s so much easier to ask questions in person than to make a phone call, especially if you’re not sure who to call.  MPD has four area locations (St. Paul, Eagan, North Oaks and Fridley) and focus solely on kids.  They’re so friendly and great with answering any questions you might have about where to start your kids for appointments and when to start for that first visit to the dentist.

Thank you so much to all of you that came out and jumped with us!  This might have been our most fun event yet – it was SO much fun to watch you all have fun with your kids!  We can’t wait to see you at our next playdate in July – keep an eye on the Summer Playdate Event Page and the TCMB Facebook page for updated info!

A big huge THANK YOU to Nicole of Charlie & Violet Photography for all of these amazing pictures. We’re thrilled to have Nicole as a sponsor – she might be the nicest person you’ll ever meet – check out her website and Facebook page for more info on her business, plus check out even more of her amazing pictures from this event on our Facebook page.
