Simple DIY Halloween Costumes ANYONE Can Make

Ode to a Halloween Costume

Halloween, Halloween how do I love thee?

Costumes, costumes how do thee pain me?

What to be? Where to find thee?

And when I finally find thee, how pricey will thee be?

Alas, we agree and the frightful day is neigh

Wait what’s this your final choice you now deny?

Do you feel this way about Halloween costumes? So much fun wrapped up in so much stress. Me too, so here’s a quick fix: sweatsuits! That’s right! Pick up a good, old-fashioned track suit in any color and there’s guaranteed to be a “simplish” costume in your future. Here’s a few I or my friends have tried:

Eagle
Pinned three boas to a black sweatshirt and pulled some dishwashing gloves over the shoes.

Panda Bear
Bonus same black sweatsuit, with a hole cut to blow out the belly and ears added to the hood.

Pig (or Three Little Pigs)
Onesies are basically baby sweatsuits. This costume would have taken 10 minutes, but I had to do it three times.

Big (not so bad) Wolf
Admittedly, I bought the grey sweats and the wolf hat, but you saw the three pigs, right?

Kid costumes are PJs, but the adult costumes are sweatsuits made boney with freezer paper and fabric paint.

Three Amigos (or Mariachi musician)
Amigos needed red sashes, sombreros, and lots of silver puffy paint.
