When I see you out of the corner of my eye, I can’t help but think how good you look. I am drawn to you, and spending time with you today would make my day.
You bring a smile to my face no matter what time of day it is. I enjoy your company before work, after work, or on the weekends. I can get the kids to listen and behave in an instant when I bring up your name.
You are so cultured with the different influences you bring into my life from China, Europe, Mexico, and right here in the good ol’ USA to just name a few.
Rich with history, you are a timeless beauty that will never be very far.
You can be sweet, yet spicy dependent on the mood. You are loved by so many around you and rightly so.
You can be so simple, but in an instant you can get fancy and gourmet, and I like that side of you too.
No matter where I see you, the joy you bring to someone’s face is evident. I love sitting with you while sipping on my coffee, such a great complement to the company I am usually with.
You are the life of any party, I see you at weddings, birthday parties, and intimate get-togethers with friends and family. You tend to be the center of attention, not intentional on your part, but you can easily draw in a crowd no matter where you are. People come from afar to be with you and enjoy your presence.
You come in so many shapes and sizes – round, square, rectangle and so much more. You are content in your skin no matter what shape you are in.
You make people indecisive. You are so creative with all your ideas that we wish we could have a dozen of you or more.
People have built stores after you to build an experience that everyone can enjoy. You bring people together no matter where you are and provide a comfort to some when they need it the most.
I don’t envision you will ever be out of style, you adapt with the newest trends and always stay relevant. From joining forces with the croissant to become a cronut, venturing into making yourself an ice cream sandwich, and even joining the gluten-free movement, the ideas that come about with you as the centerpiece are countless and imaginations run wild with the thought of your adaptability.
I look forward to seeing you, sometimes more than once a day. I’m right there along side you when you want to try something new. I’ll be honest, I don’t agree with some of your new ideas, but I bet there will be someone that does. You don’t take it to heart if I don’t agree, you are happy to pass on another because you know what I like and your ultimate goal is to make me happy and put that smile on my face.
I’m so fortunate to be able to enjoy you with my kids, and I’m so happy they enjoy your company too. The excitement and smiles that come to their faces give me joy, and it’s a comfort to know that the tradition will grow with them.
Let’s continue to create memories not just with my family, but with all families across the world. Continue to bring joy and satisfaction to all, and even though your looks change from time to time, I know deep down, the foundation that makes you who you are will never change. I will always be able to find you wherever life takes me.
