Inspiration, community, fitness and fun. If you have yet to try Moms on the Run, we have an event exclusively open to moms NEW to this program! We are so happy to support and partner with Moms on the Run for Move It Mama: an event focused on wellness and community, and learning about all that Moms on the Run has to offer. From support and encouragement to the tools you need to get to your first or next running goal, Moms on the Run has spring sessions starting now, ready for you to join! Join us at Athleta, Mall of America on May 4th to learn more, join in an in-store scavenger hunt for prizes and head home with some incredible swag. We can’t wait to see you there! Moms on the Run features a strong sense of community, encouraging women of all ages and fitness levels and focuses on women supporting women.

Moms on the Run is a structured fitness program for women of all ages (not just moms) and fitness levels who want to get in shape and have a fun time doing so. Run your first 5K, improve your speed and endurance or stay motivated in your walking routine. We focus on interval training to increase cardiovascular fitness levels and maximize metabolism benefits. You’ll start right where you are and walk, jog or run your way to a first race or personal record.

Karissa Johnson | Founder of Moms on the Run

Karissa Johnson

Fueled by her faith and a passion for fitness and helping others, Moms on the Run founder and CEO Karissa Johnson first started her own personal training business in 2001. After having three children in four years, she expanded her business to offer classes for moms and babies in 2007. In 2008, Moms on the Run was born.

Karissa is certified through the American Council on Exercise as both a Personal Trainer and Health Coach, and through the Road Runners Club of America as a Running Coach. A native of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and graduate of the University of Minnesota, she is also a Certified Nutrition Specialist through the American Academy of Sports Dieticians and Nutritionists.

She holds numerous continuing education credits in nutrition, supplements, weight loss, bodybuilding, health counseling and more. Her additional certifications include: First Aid, CPR/AED, YMCA Group Fitness Instructor, BodyPump Instructor (Les Mills), and Golf Conditioning Specialist (GMP Fitness).

We’d love for you to join us for this inspiring event. Our tickets will be at the early-bird rate for 3 days, until 8pm on Monday, April 23rd. Please reference details below. All general admission tickets will include swag bags and light refreshments.

In the event that you cannot attend the event we will do our best to assist you in finding another mom to exchange/give/or sell your ticket if the need arises and/or if time allows. Additionally, everyone that purchases a ticket will be subscribed to our VIP Event Mailing list (if they have not been already) in order to provide the most timely and up to date event info. Photos will be taken at the event of attendees for use on the blog and on social media by Twin Cities Moms Blog and sponsors. If you would not like your photos to be used, please notify us at check-in at the event. All attendees must be 18+ years of age.
