Minnesota State Fair: New 2017 Foods Released! | Twin Cities Moms Blog

It’s here – IT’S HERE! A day I look forward to every year. It’s up there with my birthday, Christmas, and the start of a new year. It’s the release of…

the 2017 NEW Minnesota State Fair Foods!!!

Now begins my State Fair pre-gaming which includes: mapping out my route to hit each and every new food vendor, pulling my “everything is better on a stick” tee shirt out of storage, pre-purchasing my admission tickets to avoid #allthelines on opening day, and beginning my quest for the perfect pair of fair shorts (stretchy waistband only, of course).

OH, State Fair. I love you. I visit you for at least half the days you are in session. I have advocated for a 12-day fair pass for years because this mama needs to save some cash. I strutted my 41-week baby belly amongst your streets because no matter how large, sweaty, and fatigued I was, you were worth it. I walk out of your towering gates every year and shed a few tears that my favorite event of the year is now over. But for now, my head is held high and my heart is beating fast – fair season is officially upon us, ya’ll!

It’s our day, true Minnesotans! What new foods are at the top of your list to try this year at The Great Minnesota Get Together?!
