As promised, I wanted to tell you more about my experience at Glamorama, 2014 in Minneapolis, MN.

I started my evening out with some cocktails and appetizers downtown at The Union {get the fish tacos on HH special, very good}.

I figured since it was my first time at Glamorama, I should try to be a bit more adventurous and I had my first “dirty” martini!  It was very tasty and if you are a person that likes green olives, you should be trying one yourself.

Macy's Glamorama 2014 Recap | Twin Cities Moms BlogI saw a gal from across the street rocking an orange sparkly dress and I screamed from across the street “You are looking fab!”  That’s really how I felt about everyone.  Even if it is something I could never wear or rock, I just loved the people watching and all the personalities you could observe just from what they decided to wear.

As far as the show, it did not disappoint! The styles and walks were on point.  It was so fun and I felt my face hurting from all the smiling.  I even cried a bit when they went over the story with Children’s Cancer Research , so very touching.

I am impressed by the work they do and that something like this event gives back for the greater good!

The whole crowd was on their feet when Jason DeRulo performed and the models dancing were so fun to see.  There was a spot for Hello Kitty that I just loved and I know all the dance Moms would have been beaming at all these kiddos…so brave and such hard work for them to be in something so big!

And lastly, you may have heard about this in the paper, Diesel sent a bunch of men out on stage looking like this:

The after party was held at Macy’s on their 8th floor and I spent most of the evening eating great food and drinks and keeping an eye out for all the models in the show.  It was so much fun, a great experience, and what I hope to be a yearly experience every summer here in Minneapolis.  I would recommend it as a date night too!

If you are wondering, I ended up getting my outfit from a few stores: Express, TJMaxx, H&M, and DSW Shoes.  My only recommendation, wear shoes that wear well, my tootsies were killing me for days!  And dress yourself for what you are comfortable in and fits your personality!

Thanks Macy’s, Cancer Research, and all the fabulous brands! I give this event 5 stars!

Looks like you had a great time. Sorry about your tootsies though. I can totally see Branmuffin rockin it with you next year!
