7 Boutiques to Shop for a Wardrobe Refresh

Now more than ever, people are looking to support small, local shops. When you take the time to go into a brick-and-mortar store these days, you want the experience to match the effort.  There are numerous local boutiques around the Twin Cities, I highly recommend you check one out. Whether you’re a serious thrifter or enjoy the finer things, there is something on this list for you!

Locations

Primp is a gorgeous, aesthetically pleasing, and on-trend storefront with four locations throughout the Twin Cities. Primp has numerous price points as well as a sale rack, I recommend you check out. At Primp you also have the ability to order online, which is a great option if you find something you like on their website or social media pages. They have a small inventory and once it’s gone you’re out of luck. Primp has wonderful customer service and employees who have impeccable taste to guide you through the racks. In-store incentives are also a great draw and might encourage you to try something you normally wouldn’t.  Their “try on a pair of jeans and automatically get $5 off”, might inspire you to buy a new brand of jeans that you love. Even if you grab a coffee and walk around the store you will not regret it.

Style Niche

Location: 2930 146th St W #112, Rosemount

Style Niche located in Rosemount is focused on meeting the customer’s needs while not overselling or pressured shopping.  The customer is their number one priority, and it shows. Enjoy a glass of bubbly and let the staff give you that personal attention you deserve. Whether you’re shopping for a special occasion, wardrobe essentials or just browsing this is where you want to do it! Style Niche has local jewelry artists, like relia by jen, as well as a variety of shoes, bags, fragrances, and so many gift ideas.

Lueur Boutique

Location: 16228 Main Ave SE Suite 100, Prior Lake

Lueur Boutique in Prior Lake started with a dream to bring high-end, one-of-a-kind styles to the heart of Minnesota. Lueuer offers many local artisan clothing lines, and many brands made exclusively in the US using sustainable production and materials. Clothing boutiques are generally geared towards women’s clothing, but Lueur Boutique is one of the few that also offers men’s clothing and accessories; from hats and belts to wallets and messenger bags. They sell hilariously named and delightfully smelling candles, holiday décor, and even a little something for your four-legged friend.

Locations

If you’ve been living in the Twin Cities for a while, you are probably familiar with Mainstream Boutique. Mainstream Boutique has established itself as a staple in the Twin Cities boutique scene with more than 14 locations throughout the cities. With locations throughout the country, it still has a local boutique feel and is up to date on seasonable mid-western clothing trends. I highly recommend the clearance rack at the back to snag some quality brands at half the price.

Feelin Fancy? MartinPatrick 3 is an internationally recognized boutique located in the North Loop. They offer men’s and women’s apparel, home furnishings, and even interior design services. This boutique is more like an experience with interior designers, stylists, and even a barbershop. Treat yourself to an afternoon of sophistication, taking in the gorgeous clothing, jewelry, fragrances, and all the things to elevate your bathroom counter. Even if the price point might be out of your range, it’s a great space to enjoy and get some ideas on your own personal style.

Location: 3450 Denmark Ave, Eagan

Hello Again is located in Eagan and has a fresh new take on thrifting. This store offers a unique way to buy and sell quality clothing, shoes, and accessories, giving sellers their own “storefront.” When you walk in you will notice separate racks with a number and a little information on the seller’s items. It will tell you the size range and immediately you will get a feel for the seller’s aesthetic. I highly recommend taking some time to wander up and down the store to find a booth that fits your style and start sifting through. Hello Again also dedicates space to local artists, which creates a beautiful environment to shop in as well as a great place to find the perfect gift. With the average consumer throwing away over 80 pounds of clothing every year, Hello Again helps reduce clothing waste and gives buyers an enjoyable shopping experience that you can feel good about. If you would like more information on how to become a seller, contact Hello Again at www.helloagaineagan.ricoconsign.com.

Location: 1278 Town Centre Dr #140B, Eagan

While you’re finding beautiful name-brand clothing at discount prices, I highly suggest checking out Kid to Kid in Eagan. If you’re a parent or grandparent, you know how quickly kids grow out of clothes, shoes, and toys. Kid to Kid will buy your gently used items and give you cash or store credit. The store is clean, organized into sizes and colors on the racks, and makes it easy to get in and out, only shopping for what you need. Your kids will agree to the extra stop because of the small, child-sized door right beside the regular door when you walk in. I have to agree, it’s pretty fun to walk through.
