Give Your Kid a Scoutlook On Life!

What’s better than your kid having more fun than they’ve ever had before? Having fun with them, of course. That’s exactly what Cub Scouts aims to do by providing a year-long activity that not only includes the whole family, but also teaches boys and girls skills they’ll use for the rest of their lives.

Moms love that their children gain skills like teamwork, confidence, making new friends, an appreciation for the outdoors, and more, all learned through exciting activities. Kids love that they get to spend time with new friends trying out fun activities and earning badges for their hard work.

“I’m so grateful for the Scouting program and the opportunities that my son has had… Growing up I didn’t have a lot of exposure to outdoor activities like camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, any of that kind of stuff. So for my son to have the opportunity to be around the leaders that we are [around] has been greatly appreciated and given him a sense of pride and dignity.” -Gayle Poepping

Cub Scouts is an incredible outlet for parents looking to expose their kids to the great outdoors, learn life skills, build confidence and friendships. And it’s truly an activity the whole family can enjoy and participate in together.

“Scouting has opened so many opportunities for us. We have so many activities that we do together on a pack level, and also in the wider community.” -Vicki Jurek, Scout Mom

And as you probably know, helping kids build confidence and a positive attitude about trying new things is crucial to their future success – which is why we strive to promote a “can-do” mentality that carries over to other areas of life, like schoolwork and sports.

“The pack has a do-your-best motto. I really want my kids to know that when they feel that they can’t do something, that they just do the best that they can do. When I learned about that it made me feel really good.” -Kessie Moench-Pletcher
