In a galaxy not so far away…
We’re inviting bots, droids, and (in)famous space characters to take over the museum! Join us for a fun-filled Discovery Day featuring activities and community partners with a touch of intergalactic magic.
Event Highlights!
- Build a tiny robot and watch it wiggle and spin.
- Join the Science Museum of Minnesota to play with Ozobots and learn how computers “think” and interact with the world
- Test and try different sound effects to create the best droid noise
- Train a computer to help you perfect a dance move with the Raspberry Pi Foundation
- Enjoy hands-on activities with Bakken Museum educators
- Explore our exhibits while members of the 501st Legion keep the peace – or disrupt it!
- Program a robot with Sphero and have it complete tasks for you.

Discovery Days: Droid December access is included with museum admission. This event is designed for kids ages 5 through 14, plus their friends and family.
