BreakAway Family Splash & Dash | Elm Creek Park Reserve

The BreakAway Splash & Dash is part of the BreakAway Kids Triathlon weekend.  The Splash & Dash (S&D) is located at Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove on Friday, August 16.  The S&D is a swim and run event, and is open to kids and adults, ages 4 and up.  Kids aged 7 and up can race on their own or with friends or family members, but kids ages 4-6 must race with a registered adult or older child.

The S&D includes a 500 yard swim in a chlorinated, sand bottom man-made pond that does not have any fish or weeds!  There will be lifeguards from Foss Swim School all across the pond.  After finishing the swim, racers will lace up their tennis shoes and head into a 1-mile run through the park.  This is not just an average 1-mile run however; as you near the finish line you’ll encounter fun obstacles including a giant slip ‘n’ slide and bubble machine.  Cross the finish line for an awesome medal and photo op.

Registration is on-line at ymcanorth.org/adventure_lab.   You will choose your race time to begin between 3 and 6:30pm.
