Cooking Crate Parties: Hands-On Cooking Experiences Shipped Directly To You

{Disclosure: We’re more than excited to have partnered with Way Cool Cooking School to share their new product: Cooking Crate Parties. This is an incredible way to bring their highly sought after classes right into your home and build new and treasured memories.}

I hope your holidays are off to a fantastic start, I know mine are.  We’ve finally had a bit of snow, there’s lights and music and spirit just about everywhere I turn, and…well, a baking party has gone underway in our home!

I had the opportunity to test out Cooking Crate Parties holiday gift cookie party set and it was such a fun experience.  Heres how it went:  I received the most adorably wrapped package with a beautiful red bow right at my doorstep from Cooking Crate Parties.  What a fun surprise!   I opened it up to find the most darling concept:  everything we would need to host a holiday cookie baking party with our friends!  And I’m not just talking a few measly things.

There were new baking sheets which, my mother can now stop teasing me for how bad of shape mine are in.  Measuring spoons and cups, cookie stamps, cooking cutters, a rolling pin, cooking dough mix, frosting mix and sprinkles.  Like I said, EVERYTHING we needed and then some!  No trips to the store required, just a quick invite to some of our favorite friends to come celebrate with us.

We had such a great time.  The cooking dough mix was awesome, very easy to use and I only needed to add butter.  What a piece of cake, or cookie, that is.  I didn’t have to chill the dough before rolling it out either, which was awesome.  I could let the kids help mix and make the dough without having to wait a million years for it to chill before cutting it out.  We all know these sorts of projects can be quite the conquest with little ones, and this was one was as easy breezy as it gets.

Once we rolled out the dough and made our cut outs with the most adorable cooking cutters we popped them in the oven while we mixed up the frosting.  Get how easy this was…we mixed the pre-packaged mix they sent us with water.  THATS IT!  The kids did it by themselves!  Score!

Once the frosting was made and the cookies were ready we got all kinds of messy decorating-the kids were about as happy as they come.  The sprinkles they sent were perfectly adorable, and used VERY liberally, needless to say. Good thing they sent a ton of them!

This concept is just the cutest, and I totally want to surprise  a few friends and family by having one sent to their doorstep.  It is such a fun, thoughtful gift idea!  Have you had you cookie decorating get together yet? I promise you will love the ease, functionality and festiveness of these crates, and your kids will love you for it!
