We often get asked about our name. Zuma was our favorite beach in Malibu when we lived in Southern California. It’s where we met friends on the weekends, learned to surf, and even swam with dolphins in the wild! When we go to our “happy place” in our minds, we go to Zuma Beach, and the predominant color is Blu.
At Zuma Blu, we’re dedicated to building your confidence. We all have dreams. Some of us pursue them while others play it safe. Confidence empowers us to make decisions out of strength and not fear, which sets us on the path to pursue the best possible version of ourselves. Confidence turns down the volume on the voices of judgment and amplifies the voices of encouragement. We want to be a voice in your mind that inspires you to pursue your dreams and live a life that constantly inspires you. That may come in the form of body confidence in some or even the confidence to try your first triathlon!
Because confidence-development begins in adolescence, we believe bully-prevention programs can help lay a solid foundation of confidence for our kids and future generations. That’s why we’ll give 10% of our annual profits to school programs that help build confidence in kids to foster kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. We chose this mission because of my own bullying experience in high school. It’s something I still carry with me today and why this cause is so personal for me.

The pieces are just as comfortable for working out in as they are to wear while running errands, taking the kids to the park or lounging in the car on a road trip up north. A new staple in our wardrobes are these active shorts that have built-in underwear and a bunch of pockets big enough to hold a phone and small wallet. Paired with a simple t-shirt, these are go-to shorts for taking a long walk with the kids to the park followed by a quick Target run. Zuma Blu also has a great line of casual tanks, which we love for their softness and cut. They look totally cute with a pair of denim shorts or a sweater over the top!
Flexible fit. The fabric of the clothing is super soft and flexible. It also holds you in and gives a tight fit without feeling restricting. We especially love the fit of the high-waisted capris, which are very mom-friendly! You can bend, twist, and move easily while feeling like you are held in closely. Also worth noting are the mesh vents, which are great for cooling off and keeping you dry during your workouts. In addition to the fit, the fabrics also come in unique and fun patterns.
