The spectacular annual flower show at Macy’s is going on now and you don’t want to miss it. For all the waiting we do in Minnesota for spring, this will put you in the right place in seconds! There were Blooms I had never seen before, and with Bachman’s doing the design, it’s beyond gorgeous.
This year’s theme is Art in Bloom and they captured it perfectly – blending flowers into on onto famous works of art.
If you’ve been waiting for winter to end and bright colors to bring up your mood, this is the perfect spot to do just that. Not to mention it’s completely FREE.
There are 11 flourishing gardens taking inspiration from art genres of the past including Impressionism, Abstract, Art Nouveau, Renaissance and Surrealism.
New this year, Macy’s Flower Show allows spectators to become floral artistes when they download the specially created Artista Impresso by JixiPix app. What does that mean? That you can take your pictures and turn them into art. Might up your selfie game, huh? 🙂
You can easily bring your kiddos along, but might I suggest a day date? It’s such a peaceful environment to just sit still for a few minutes and chat without the kiddos.
