In February, our Executive Team got to experience the NEW Doubletree by Hilton Minneapolis – University Area. From its excellent location to its modern rooms and extensive amenities, we enjoyed the most wonderful weekend in complete comfort. Here are a few highlights we would love to share with you about the hotel and all that it has to offer!
Location
The location of the hotel was perfect for our retreat! Located just east of downtown Minneapolis, the hotel is nestled within the University of Minnesota campus and is only blocks from TCF Bank Stadium. It is located in close proximity to the Light Rail – excellent for helping you and your family or girlfriends explore the city with ease! We loved that we were in the center of everything and could easily get from the hotel to Uptown, the North Loop, downtown Minneapolis, or even head east to St. Paul on 94. Truly a convenient location!
Accommodations & Amenities
First – let’s start by saying we were welcomed with a warm chocolate chip cookie and a bottle of water. Does it get better than that?! After devouring our treats, we headed up to our rooms where we were pleasantly surprised by the modern decor and comfy beds. Although we didn’t get the chance to enjoy it, there was a lovely indoor pool and hot tub area as well as a large sun deck that would be perfect for lounging on in the warmer months! We also enjoyed that the hotel was quiet and well maintained – perfect for a weekend of productivity!
We cannot recommend the conference room enough for a business meeting, event or retreat! The room itself was lovely with large windows that looked out to TCF Bank Stadium. The accommodations were endless and we especially enjoyed the convenience of the beverage and meal service without having to leave the room! We spent hours and hours plugging away in this space and were totally comfortable due to the incredible service we received from the conference room staff.
Dining
We enjoyed a couple delicious meals from the hotel’s beautiful restaurant, Amalgamate Kitchen. The menu had many wonderful options that suited a variety of tastes.
Our team was also a HUGE fan of the coffee bar located just off the lobby that served Starbucks beverages and easy, on-the-go snacks and meals!
Our Executive Team truly had a wonderful experience and an incredibly productive retreat.
