Mounds Park Academy– For 36 years, Mounds Park Academy in Saint Paul has engaged students PreK-12 in a rigorous college-preparatory experience that cultivates dreamers and doers. Our academic program is demanding, but not draining, and goes far beyond memorization. Students are challenged to apply their understanding to stir the human spirit, stand for justice, and shake the world. This is what we call rigor with purpose and it grounds our students in the radical idea that their identity in the world is not measured by a test score, but by the depth and decency of their impact on the world. At MPA, our educational experience is designed to inspire and energize. Students of all ages feel great about school and treat each other with respect. Only through this type of positive, supportive community are students able to discover who they are meant to be.
Heroes On Site!
We love imagination and will have some of our favorite storybook superheroes on site, but we all know that real life heroes make a difference every single day. We’re proud to be hosting the Maplewood Police, Fire and Ambulance Team at this event. Your kids can get up close and personal with the men and women that save lives in our own backyards.
**Please note that real heroes do have to respond to real-life emergencies. In the event of an emergency in the area, we understand that this crew has work to do and may have to leave early.
In addition to these real-life heroes, we’ll have imaginary and playful friends joining us as well. Mr. Incredible, Super Girl, Bat Girl, and Captain America from Party Crasher People and Spider-man and Superman from Awesome for Hire will be with us for the entire event, and the Minnesota Twins are sending T.C. Bear for a special appearance as well.
