Winter is officially upon us and what better way to get out and enjoy it than to go ice skating? Wells Fargo Minneapolis WinterSkate returns to Loring Park again this winter and is the ultimate place to take your family skating! This outdoor rink is completely refrigerated, meaning you can enjoy skating under the skyline in the heart of the city whether it’s 0 or 50 degrees! With free, family-friendly events, complimentary skate rental, a warming house, and more, it’s sure to be a place where you can make some great memories this winter. General Information
- Cost: Skating is completely FREE!
- Hours: WinterSkate is open daily November 15th through March 4th!
- Location: The ice rink is located in Loring Park (1382 Willow Street, Minneapolis).
- Skate Rental: Complimentary skates are available during warming house hours. These are on a first come, first served basis. Sizes and quantities vary, so bring your own skates if you have them!
Warming House Hours: The warming house is open Monday-Friday: 3pm-9pm, Saturday: 9am-9pm, and Sunday: 10am-6pm.
**Minneapolis WinterSkate Holiday Hours: November 23: closed, December 24: 12-4 pm, December 25: closed, December 31: 12-6 pm, January 1: 12-6 pm.
***Minneapolis WinterSkate will be open 12-9 pm on Minneapolis Public School release dates: November 22 & 24, December 25-30, January 2-5, 15, and 25-26, and February 16 & 19.

The Wells Fargo Minneapolis WinterSkate will have free programming taking place throughout the winter. Come down and skate on your own, or enjoy a great collection of activities from November through March! Here are a few of the types of programming you’ll enjoy:
- Join in the fun of the Ceremonial Opening – head down on November 14th, beginning at 4 pm
- Holidazzle (Thursdays through Sundays, November 24 through December 23)

Share your experience and you could win big!
This winter, Wells Fargo is providing a social media giveaway during the WinterSkate season. Skaters are encouraged to take photos on the rink (use of the WinterSkate social media frames are encouraged), and post your photos on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Post must include “@WellsFargo #mplswinterskate”. Each month from November through March, one person who posted a photo using “@WellsFargo #mplswinterskate” will be selected to receive two (2) tickets to sit in Wells Fargo’s center-ice suite at the Xcel Energy Center for the Minnesota Wild vs. Boston Bruins game on March 25, 2018.
