2020 is nearly here, and it’s time to get ready to celebrate! We know staying out late with the littles can be tough, so these daytime and early evening events are perfect for the whole family!

Noon Years Eve Dance Party (Anoka): December 28 | 11:30am Dance the year away at the library! Ring in the New Year with stories, songs, dancing and crafts. Join us for a balloon drop at the stroke of Noon.

New Years Eve on Ice (Roseville): December 31 | 2:30pm Bring your family, meet your friends, or just come by yourself to the Roseville Skating Center for the Midwest’s largest skating party. Skate indoors or outdoors on the 110,000 square-foot skating surface which boasts four hockey rinks for the rink rats or skate leisurely on the Olympic-size OVAL. Enjoy door prizes, concessions and the company of other winter-loving skaters. Admission is $9, skate rentals are available.

Family New Year’s Eve Party (Shoreview): December 31 | 5:00pm Ring in the new year at Shoreview Community Center! Admission includes: waterpark & playground access, inflatables, face painting & crazy hair, craft & bingo, a balloon drop & more! Concessions are available at the cafe for an additional fee. Early bird tickets: $10/person, price at the door: $12/person.

New Year’s Eve at Topgolf (Brooklyn Center): December 31 | Times Vary Topgolf is celebrating the arrival of 2020 by throwing one of our biggest parties of the year. Enjoy live entertainment, a chef-inspired menu and an unforgettable midnight celebration. Upgrade to the VIP experience for exclusive access to a premium holiday dinner buffet and a bottle of bubbly to share with friends. All New Year’s Eve packages include unlimited game play from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. for up to six guests, front row seats to a midnight fireworks show, and party favors to go along with their glow-in-the-dark theme for the night.

New Years Eve at Bowlero (Blaine): December 31 & Jan 1 | Times Vary Get a NYE Family Package for $21.99 a person where you can enjoy 2 hours of unlimited bowling, shoes included, food, and a champagne or sparkling cider beverage to toast!

Ring in the New Year! Party Hat and Popper at Lakeshore Learning (Maplewood): December 28 | 11:00am Children ages 3 and up can make a New Year party hat and popper at Lakeshore Learning stores for FREE! No reservations necessary.

Noon Year’s Eve Party (Woodbury): December 31 | 11:30am Too little to stay up until midnight tonight? Join us R.H. Stafford Library for a Noon Year’s Eve Celebration! We’ll read stories, sing, dance, and craft together as we wait for the ball drop at noon. This event is intended for children ages 0-5, but ALL ages and stages are welcome. No registration required!

New Year’s Eve Celebration (Afton): December 31 | 5:00pm Enjoy FREE face painting, a Torch Light Parade, and a Firework Show!

New Year’s Eve (Woodbury): December 31 | 6:00pm We will fill our sports center with fun inflatables, huge moonwalks, obstacle courses, bingo, ice skating, Gaga pit, music and so much more to make this evening a fun night for all! Door prize drawings will be held at 8:30 p.m. followed by the big countdown to 2020. Tickets must be purchased for all participants 3 years and older. Recommended for families with children under 12. $10 per person if pre-registered, $12 at the door if available.

Countdown to Noon (Eagan): December 31 | 11:30am Don’t let your little ones miss out on all the fun on New Year’s Eve. Come to the Wescott Library for a dance party as we count down to a glittery ball drop at noon. Ages: 0–6

New Year’s Eve Sledding and Smores (Bloomington): December 31 | 12:00pm Welcome the New Year with family, friends, and the thrill of sledding. Bring your own s’mores to roast by the fire or warm up inside with free hot cocoa. Limited supply of sleds and roasting sticks available. Ages 11 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Family Yule Ball (Savage): December 31 | 3:00pm For ages 3-11 and families. Celebrate with an afternoon of Hogwarts shenanigans! The event is FREE and RSVP is encouraged but not required – you can still attend even if you haven’t signed up.

New Years Eve Party (Eagan): December 31 | 5:00pm Celebrate all things winter with candlelight ice skating on a frozen lake, hiking and snowshoeing through the woods, and walking on plowed paths, all lit by 1,000 flickering luminaries; slide on the lit sledding hill; sip cocoa at the  A-frame; warm up to crackling bonfires; make s’mores; and more. Stay for the countdown and ball drop at 7:59 p.m. Bring your own sleds and ice skates. S’mores and cocoa provided. Hot food available for purchase from food trucks.

Candlelight and Ice (Richfield): December 31 | 5:00pm Make this your New Year’s Eve tradition; celebrate the new year at Wood Lake with family and friends!  Follow hundreds of candle-lit luminaries on a walking trail through cattails and trees while keeping a lookout for wildlife. Roast marshmallows over a crackling fire, warm up inside with hot cocoa, make a craft, and enjoy the brisk winter evening. No pre-registration required. $5 per person.

Ring in the New Year! Party Hat and Popper at Lakeshore Learning (St. Louis Park): December 28 | 11:00am Children ages 3 and up can make a New Year party hat and popper at Lakeshore Learning stores for FREE! No reservations necessary.

Pre-New Years Eve Party at Edinborough Park (Edina): December 30 | 5:00pm Ring in the New Year with your family at this very popular annual event at Edinborough Park. Everyone will be able to join in the fun as we celebrate “kid style” by offering dancing in the Great Hall and full access to Adventure Peak. Get your picture taken at a photo booth. Noise makers and party hats will be available for all the kiddos too! Adults are free with paid child admission. Mock New Years Eve Countdown will be at 7pm.

New Year’s Eve at ROC (St. Louis Park): December 31 | 3:30pm Before you go out for the night, come skate at the ROC with music by DJ Bob and refreshments. The event is for all ages. Free! Ice skate rentals available for $3 per person.

New Year’s Eve Winter Lights Party (Chanhassen): December 31 | 5:00pm Stroll through the magical winter lights display, and enjoy live music, games and count-down celebrations on the hour! There will be a Ball Drop celebration at 8, 9, and 10 pm with a sparkling Apple Juice toast at 10 pm. Tickets are $15 for adult Arboretum members, $30 for adult non-members and $5 for all kids.

New Year’s Eve at Pinstripes (Edina): December 31 | 7:30pm The NYE celebration will kick off with two balloon drops, the first one at 8:00 p.m., perfect for the kids, and the second at midnight.  Enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne, party favors, and live music! Their regular menu will be available for dining and both the bowling lanes and bocce courts will be open as the New Year ‘rolls’ in!

A New Year Celebration (St. Paul): December 27 | 7:00pm Celebrate the New Year with food, music, dancing, and games at this Victorian-inspired special event. Explore the Ramsey House with family and friends and participate in hands-on activities on all three floors. Try a variety of 19th-century parlor games and dances and listen (and sing along) to popular songs of the era played on the 1872 Steinway grand piano. Sample holiday cakes, puddings, and other treats, freshly baked from the wood-burning stove.

Night Before New Year’s Eve Party (Minneapolis): December 30 | 5:30pm Join the Nokomis East Neighborhood Association’s (NENA) Annual Night Before New Year’s Event. A family friendly event that includes fun for all ages! Donations asked for at the door. Held at Nokomis Recreation Center.

New Year’s Noon (Minneapolis): December 31 | 10:00am Come party with the Bell Museum as they celebrate another trip around the sun! Families, children, and adults are invited to join them as we leap into 2020. They will be making music, dancing, and looking at light in interesting ways. They’ll even have a special countdown at noon! Create and dance to your own rhythm when you make and customize your own spin drum craft, then bend light and form rainbows while you experiment with prisms.

Sparklerama New Year’s Eve Party (St. Paul): December 31 | 6:00pm Ring in the New Year at Minnesota Children’s Museum! At the Sparklerama party, your family will enjoy music, art projects, full access to the museum, and a beach ball drop at 8:00pm!

Noon Year’s Confetti Dance Party (St. Paul): December 31 & Jan 1 | 10:00am Ring in the “Zoo” year during a special Noon Year’s Celebration on December 31 & January 1. Kidsdance, Minnesota’s favorite high-energy, interactive DJ service for kids, will be here both days with tunes, contests, and fabulous prizes! We will have craft making, special animal enrichment, giveaways, and a countdown to noon.
